Care in Cold Spaces

Care in Cold Spaces

Care in Cold Spaces

Everyone knows that good health is key. But what happens when sickness strikes and sends people to the hospital? These places, meant for healing, often feel sterile and cold. That gloomy atmosphere can weigh down on patients hoping to recover, and it also takes a toll on the hardworking healthcare heroes who spend their days there.

Becoming, Being, and Connected

The visual system for B:being is rooted in three layers of healing, Becoming, Being, and Connectedness. Inspired by lino-printed tree branches, the forms evolve into leaf-like shapes that reflect growth and change. Like nature’s seasons, the typography and shapes shift gently, expressing the quiet transformation at the heart of B:being.

OUTCOME

B:being reshaped how I think about care and language. This project showed me how compassionate copywriting can transform experiences, shifting from clinical terms to human ones. It reinforced my commitment to designing work that brings softness, dignity, and care back into spaces that need it most.

REFLECTION

Working on B:being reminded me to slow down and value the simple act of being human. Nature became a mirror for healing, showing that growth comes from rest, connection, and presence, not constant fixing. This project grounded me in the belief that design can gently guide people back to what truly matters: being here, and being human.
