Live. Raw.

Intro

Crossover is not just a festival, it’s a collision. Artists, genres, and cultures share one stage to break the echo chamber of sound. Through live mashups and unrepeatable moments, Crossover brings music back to what it should be: shared, unexpected, and alive.

X Marks the Collision

Crossover is a music festival identity built around the energy of remix culture, live collaboration, and discovery. The project responds to the repetitive “echo chamber” created by music streaming algorithms by bringing unexpected artists, genres, and audiences together in one space. At the center of the system is the “X” symbol, representing collision, crossover, and exchange. Through music visualization, the “X” reacts to sound to capture the impact moments and unpredictability of live mashups in real time. The project also explores music as a physical and sensory experience. Sculptural seating areas allow audiences to feel bass and vibration through touch, while wearable wristbands translate sound into tactile feedback, creating a more immersive and shared festival experience.

Crossover was an exploration of sound, motion and collision of colours. This project gave me a really insightful perspective about festival branding. Sounds, Motion and Coding were substantial tools to create a dynamic branding, and this was a solid practice of the ability of coding to visualize every little detail of music.
